Welcome to Thompson Park in Portland, Oregon. This park was first established in 1986 and named for David Thompson, a close friend of President Grant and Governor of the Idaho Territory and later mayor of Portland.

Portland Oregon Park Ordinances
*All parks open at 5:00 a.m. and close at midnight.
*The following are prohibited; littering, defacing public property, illegal drugs, alcoholic beverages, weapons, fireworks.
*The following require special permits; sales.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas, fishing, motor vehicles, fires, golfing, archery, remote control vehicles.
*All animals must be leashed (no longer than 8 feet) and waste removed.
