Kinabalu National Park in Sabah, Malaysia is home of a World Heritage Site of Nature, Mount Kinabalu which is also the highest peak in South-East Asia. It sprawled over 75,400 hectares of land. The park boasts more than 5,000 vascular plant species, an estimated 1,000 orchid species, 621 fern species, 9 Nepenthes species, 29 Rhododendron species and 2 Rafflesia species. Only known to grow in Asia, Rafflesia is also the world's largest flower.
Within the Park, visitors could visit the Botanical Garden which has scheduled guided walk during the day. It also has a hot spring which is popular among both local and tourists whether to relax after climbing the mountain or just chill out in the man-made pools.
