Welcome to Marion Square in Charleston, South Carolina. Like a nearby National Forest, this park is named for Francis Marion, a revolutionary war hero known as the "Swamp Fox." Mel Gibson's character in The Patriot is closely modeled after Marion. Many events are hosted here throughout the year.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, motor vehicles.
*The following require special permits; fireworks, golfing, solicitations.
*All dogs must be leashed (no longer than 16 feet) and waste removed.
