Tennessee State Forests

Welcome to Cedars of Lebanon State Forest located in central Tennessee in Wilson County.

Forest History: The land that is now Cedars of Lebanon State Forest has it's roots in the Resettlement Administration Program of 1935. Two decades later in 1955 the land was transferred to the State of Tennessee. Much of the land bared the scars of overuse but over the years many restoration efforts have occurred.

Wildlife: Today the forest helps protect the home of at least two endangered or threatened plant species. Some of the other plants that grow inside the forest boundaries include cedars and pines. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include white-tailed deer, foxes, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, and hawks. Please treat their home with respect.

For the lover of the outdoors Cedars of Lebanon State Forest boasts marvelous hunting opportunities and much more. Come on out and explore.
