Welcome to Martha Sundquist State Forest located in eastern Tennessee near the North Carolina State Line.
Forest History: To an astonishing coincidence, this 2001 acre State Forest was first purchased by the State of Tennessee in the year 2001 from the International Paper Company. This State Forest is bordered by the Cherokee National Forest on three sides.
Wildlife: Martha Sundquist State Forest helps protect the home of numerous wild animals including bears, deer, raccoons, rabbits, squirrels, foxes, coyotes, hawks, wild turkeys, and bald eagles. Please treat their home with respect.
