Welcome to Standing Stone State Forest located near Cookeville, Tennessee. This land was first purchased under the Resettlement Administration and was given to the State of Tennessee in 1955. In 1961 it was officially designated a State Forest.

Wildlife: Standing Stone State Forest helps protect the home of numerous wild animals including white-tailed deer, foxes, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, wild turkeys, and hawks. Please treat their home with respect.
