Balcones District Park is a large urban community park in Austin, Texas. It has a developed section as well as a natural wooded section that is great for hiking and bird-watching.

When visiting any park in Austin Texas please respect the rules.

*The following activities require special permit, amplified sound, sales, camping.

*Metal Detectors are not allowed in the parks.

*Under Texas State Law Abandoned property, including motor vehicles, may be impounded and sold.

*Please do not use foul language or engage in boisterous behavior.

*All animals must be leashed (no longer than 6 feet) and waste removed.

*Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in athletic fields, swimming pool areas, and school parks.

*All glass objects are prohibited.

*No littering. Please place all trash in proper containers.

*All vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all traffic laws.
