Welcome to Zilker Metropolitan Park in Austin, Texas. This is one of Austin's most beloved recreation areas and was first established in 1917 when the land's previous owner Andrew Jackson Zilker, donated several parcels of land to the city. Zilker was a local businessman and banker. Two of the park's more unique features are the Barton Springs Pool in which the water is 68 degrees farenheit year round, as well as the Botanical Garden.

*Under Texas State Law Abandoned property, including motor vehicles, may be impounded and sold.
*All animals must be leashed (no longer than 6 feet) and waste removed.
*Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in athletic fields, swimming pool areas, and school parks.
*All vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all traffic laws.
