Welcome to the grand Cooper Lake State Park located in Cooper State Park about an hour and a half away from the Dallas/Forth Worth Area. Cooper Lake itself was first created in 1955 and is over 19,000 acres in size making it a prime destination for aquatic recreation. 

Trails: The park has many miles of multipurpose trails including the Buggy Whip Equestrian Trail which is over 10 miles long. Come out and explore the trails.

Camping: The park has over 120 campsites with electricity and water. Come out and stay a few nights. 

Wildlife: The park's ecosystem is a prairie setting with such animals as armadillos, white-tailed deer, bobcats, and gray foxes. Please treat their home with respect when visiting.

Fishing: The lake is full of fish including Florida largemouth bass, catfish, and bluegills. Come out and cast a line.
