Welcome to the beautiful Lake Meredith National Recreation Area located in northern Texas. This park is what some have referred to as an Oasis on the High Plains. Even they Native Americans probably thought so because it was prime hunting and fishing land for them as far back as 13,000 years ago.

Boating: Lake Meredith itself, a reservoir of the Canadian River,  is over 10,000 acres in size and is open to watercraft of all sorts. Come out and spend a day water-skiing.

Camping: All of the campsites are primitive and there are no places for RV's. Nevertheless come out and stay a few nights and look at the stars on the high plains.

Other activies include over 30 miles of hiknig trails, an ORV park, and much more. Come out and explore.
