Welcome to Mae Simmons Park, one of the largest parks in Lubbock, Texas. One will not easily run out of things to do here. The park boasts lighted multipurpose athletic courts for tennis and basketball, a cross country course, a swimming pool for hot summer days, and much more. This park was RecPlanet place of the day on October 19, 2014.

City of Lubbock, Texas Park ordinances.

*All parks open at 5 a.m. and close at midnight.

*All dogs must be leashed and waste removed.

*The following are prohibited in all city parks; swimming, golfing, overnight camping, horseback riding, metal detecting, alcoholic beverages, glass containers.

*Please respect all park property including buildings, athletic facilities, benches, trees, bushes, etc.

*Official practice on all athletic fields requires prior reservation. 

*All fishermen must have Texas State fishing license.

*No dumping or littering. Please help keep the parks clean by disposing of all trash in proper containers.

*Please do not remove or harm any plants or animals in the parks.

*All burning is restricted to picnic grills.

*All vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all State of Texas traffic laws.
