Welcome to Lake Tawakoni State Park located on the shores of Lake Tawakoni in Willis Point, Texas. Lake Tawakoni itself is a nearly 37,000 acre reservoir located east of the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolis. The reservoir was first established in 1960 in order to provide the growing water needs of the region and the park itself was first established in 1984.
