Huntington State Park
Welcome to Huntington State Park nestled beneath cinnamon colored buttes on the shores of the Huntington Reservoir. In 1966 Huntington Reservoir was built as part of the Emery County irrigation and recreation project. The name of the park, reservoir, and local town comes from the first white men to explore the region, Oliver, Dimick, and William Huntington. Oliver was a recorder for the failed Elk Mountain Mission to Moab, Dimick was an interpreter for the local tribes, and William was an explorer.
For the lover of the outdoors this park boasts numerous aquatic opportunities 22 campsites with electricity (max RV length of 45 feet) and so much more. Come on out and explore.
