Welcome to Palisade State Park located on the shores of the Palisade Reservoir near Sterling, Utah.

Park History: In the 1860's an early settler of the region named Daniel Funk had a vision of a summer and weekend resort in the Sanpete Valley. Funk negotiated a deal with Chief Arapeen of the Sanpitch tribe and obtained a patent from the government. Then he and his family began building a dam along Sixmile Creek to create a reservoir. The lake quickly became a pleasure resort known as Palisade.

Today the park boasts many trails, an 18 hole golf course ranked as one of the best in the state, boat ramps, and so much more. Come on out and have fun.
