Welcome to Twin Lakes State Park located in Virginia's Piedmont Region. Like the name implies there are two lakes in this park Goodwin Lake and Prince Edward Lake.

Park History: The land that is now Twin Lakes State Park was purchased by the Federal Government during the Great Depression. Two parks were formed, Goodwin Lake and Prince Edward Lake and we run as separate racially segregated facilities. In 1976 the parks merged and became Twin Lakes State Park. Today the park offers a boat ramp for electric motors, canoes, and kayaks, as well as a swimming beach, over 30 campsites and over 6 miles of trails. Come on out and explore!

This park also helps protect wildlife habitat for white-tailed deer, foxes, coyotes, raccoons, grey squirrels, rabbits, red-tailed hawks, screech owls, crows, and many others.
