Welcome to one of the newest State Parks in the Virginia State Park System, the High Bridge Trail State Park. This park is over 34 miles of multipurpose trails going through some of Virginia's beautiful mountain scenery including the 2400 foot long High Bridge crossing the Appomattox River 160 feet up. This park was formed in 2006 when the Norfolk Southern Corporation donated over 33 miles of abandoned track to the State of Virginia. Come on out and explore.
