Shot Tower State Park

Welcome to the Shot Tower State Park, a place that is on the National Register of Historic Places! Park History: The Shot Tower itself was constructed over 150 years ago as a place for making ammunition for the early settlers. Lead was mined nearby in Austinville and was melted at the top of the 75 foot tower and poured down a shaft into a kettle of water.
