Richmond Virginia Parks
Welcome to one of the three original parks in the City of Richmond, Virginia, the marvelous Libby Hill Park located in downtown just a few blocks east of the James River. It was originally called Marshall Square and today it still has a monument for the Confederate Soldiers of the Civil War that was first constructed in 1894. This park has a great view of the southern end of town which legend has it lead to the naming of the City of Richmond because one Englishman said that the view looked like the "Richmond on the Thames."
