Welcome to York River State Park located just west of Williamsburg on the banks of the York River.

Park History: In the 17th and 18th century the land that makes up York River State Park was known as the Taskinas Plantation, a place where local tobacco farmers stored their crops while in route to England. Remnants of the wooden "corduroy" roads can still be seen in the park today. It became a State Park in 1980.

Today the park offers over 25 miles of multi-purpose trails, picnic shelters, and a fishing pier. Come on out and explore!

To contact the office please call 757-566-3036. This was RecPlanet place of the day on August 30, 2015.
