Welcome to Ferrisburgh Municipal Forest located on Shellhouse Mountain outside of Ferrisburgh, Vermont. In the late 19th century this natural park was once part of the estate of a man named Rowland T. Robinson. Although small in size this forest protects a diversity of natural communities including Dry Oak Forest, Hemock Forest, Mesic-Maple-Ash-Hickory-Oak Forest, Temperate Calcareous and Acidic Cliff, and Valley Clayplain Forested Swamp. Come out and explore the trails.
