Welcome to Vermont's Lowell Lake State Park. This beautiful park was first established in 1981 (the same year the founder of RecPlanet was born) after the State of Vermont bought the first 207 acres from a woman named Arline Weiss Gardner. 15 years later in 1996, the State used a portion it's Vermont Land Trust money purchase what was called the "White Property" tract of 154 acres thereby bringing Lowell Lake State Park to it's present day size of 361 acres. Long term plans for the park include many renovations to the park's buildings. For the lover of the outdoors Lowell Lake State Park boasts non-motorized boating opportunities, hiking trails, beautiful scenery, and much more. Come on out and explore!
