Welcome to North Hero State Park located on the shores of Lake Champlain near North Hero, Vermont. This land was first purchased by the State of Vermont in 1963 and today it serves as a remote camping spot due to the reduced number of staff in the park. The park's low elevation (mostly below 100 feet ASL) gives it a type of floodplain forest that is unique to Vermont and helps to protect the home of numerous wild animals including white-tailed deer, mallards, and map turtles. Please treat their home with respect. Come on out and have fun.
