Vermont State Forests
Welcome to one of Vermont's oldest and largest State Forests, the beautiful Groton State Forest. This forest borders seven state parks and is home to creatures such as black bears, coyotes, foxes, and many others.
When visiting any State Park or State Forest in Vermont Please respect the rules.
*The following are prohibited; feeding of wildlife, littering, chainsaws,
*The following require special permits; posting of bills, removal of plants or earth material.
*Glass objects are not allowed in pools or swimming areas.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas, metal detecting, swimming, camping.
*Children aged 14 and under must be supervised by adults.
*All pets must be leashed no longer than 10 feet and waste removed.
