Vermont State Forests
Welcome to Vermont's Townshend State Forest.
Trails: Come out and explore the multipurpose Bald Mountain Hiking Trail which climbs in elevation from 472 feet to 1680 feet above sea level.
Wildlife: Some of the wildlife seen in this forest include black bears, white-tailed deer, squirrels, and wild turkeys.
When visiting any State Park or State Forest in Vermont Please respect the rules.
*The following are prohibited; feeding of wildlife, littering, chainsaws,
*The following require special permits; posting of bills, removal of plants or earth material.
*Glass objects are not allowed in pools or swimming areas.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas, metal detecting, swimming, camping.
*Children aged 14 and under must be supervised by adults.
*All pets must be leashed no longer than 10 feet and waste removed.
