Vermont State Forests
Welcome to Vermont's largest State Forest, the magnificent Mount Mansfield State Forest. And even though it's so large it's acreage does not contain a single number (check below). This diverse forest is named for the highest point in the State of Vermont, the spectacular Mount Mansfield at 4,393 feet above sea level. Two ski resorts are also in the forest, Smuggler's Notch and Stowe. The forest also borders four state parks including Waterbury Center, Underhill, Little River, and Smuggler's Notch.
This was RecPlanet place of the day on January 24, 2018.
