Welcome to Lacey's beautiful Lake Lois Park. This park is named for Lois McKinley, whose family once operated a resort nearby. The City of Lacey purchased the first tract of land in 1972 and the second tract of land in 1986. All in all the city spent nearly $33K, but the State of Washington and United States Forest Service helped chip in to purchase the larger and more natural tracts. This is a natural park but it does have a short hiking trail as well as a picnic area with a grill. Come out and bring some meats for cooking, or do a little bird-watching.
Lake Lois Habitat Preserve is included in this park's profile.
This park was RecPlanet place of the day on September 22, 2014.
