Welcome to Washington's Steptoe Battlefield State Park located near Rosalia. This park was the site of a battle between US forces led by Colonel Edward Steptoe and local Native American tribes, including the Spokane, Yakama, and Palouse, in 1858. This park was first established in 1950 and added to the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior in 1976.
