Franz Lake National Wildlife Refuge
Welcome to Washington's beautiful Franz Lake National Wildlife Refuge located on the banks of the Columbia River in Stevenson not far from Beacon Rock State Park and Oregon's Ainsworth State Park. Congress first established this refuge in 1990 and although relatively small in size it protects a diversity of habitats from wetlands to raparian woodlands which give habitat to bald eagles, tundra swans, blue herons, and many others.
