Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park

Welcome to Washington's grand and beautiful Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park located in the central part of the state near the town of Vantage. This place is the official gem of Washington State and one of North America's most diverse fossil forests and over 30 varities of petrified wood can be found at the park's museum. This park was first established in 1932 when a man named Professor George Beck fought very hard to get the place protected. 

Boating: Aside from the park's unique natural history the park also boasts 27,000 feet of shoreline on Wanapum Lake, a reservoir of the Columbia River so one can spend a day on the lake. Come out and do some fishing or water-skiing.

Camping: The campground at Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park has 50 full hookup sites for RV's with a maximum length of 60 feet. CAUTION! High winds frequently come through the park's campground so please be sure to secure light weight objects.
