Welcome to Owen Conservation Park located in Madison, Wisconsin. This beautiful piece of land located on the top of a hill was once an operating farm of a University of Wisconsin Professor named Edward Owen. Today, what was once owen's farmland is now returning to a state of nature. The park protect the habitat of many species of wildflowers including bluestems and goldenrods. In 2008 the City of Madison replaced an eroded channel with two wildlife ponds that not only give habitat for numerous bird and aquatic animals, but help prevent sediment from reaching nearby Lake Mendota. Come out and explore this unique and natural scenic beauty.
