Elkins City Park is a beautiful urban park located in the lovely mountain town of Elkins, West Virginia. The history of this park goes back to the late 19th century when a man named Senator Henry Gassaway Davis and his wife donated this piece of land to the city. Many annual festivals such as the Mountain State Forest Festival, Augusta Festival, and corn roast take place inside this park. Some of it's amenities include a full basketball court, a large playground for the kids, eight horseshoe pits, and nine picnic sites. Come out and have some fun, at any time of the year!
When visiting any park in Elkins, West Virginia please respect the rules.
*All animals must be leashed and waste removed. *Unless otherwise approved by the Parks and Rec department, all parks open at 8 a.m. and close at 10 p.m.
*No littering. Please dispose of all waste in proper containers, they are there for a reason. Please help keep the parks clean.
*All sales and soliciations require special permit.
*All motor vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all State of West Virginia traffic laws.
*Do not use foul language or engage in threatening or boisterous behavior.
*Please respect all park property including athletic facilities, picnic tables, trees, benches, etc.
