Welcome to the beautiful Glendale Park located on the banks of the Tygart Valley River in Elkins, West Virginia across the stream from River Bend Park. This is the newest park in the City of Elkins and was first purchased with local community grants in the late 1990's. This is a mostly undeveloped park with a variety of wildlife including frogs, blue herons, turtles, raccoons, and many others. It makes a great spot for bird-watching and wildlife viewing. The developed section has a skate park and a picnic area.
When visiting any park in Elkins, West Virginia please respect the rules.
*All animals must be leashed and waste removed. *Unless otherwise approved by the Parks and Rec department, all parks open at 8 a.m. and close at 10 p.m.
*No littering. Please dispose of all waste in proper containers, they are there for a reason. Please help keep the parks clean.
*All sales and soliciations require special permit.
*All motor vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all State of West Virginia traffic laws.
*Do not use foul language or engage in threatening or boisterous behavior.
*Please respect all park property including athletic facilities, picnic tables, trees, benches, etc.
