Welcome to Petersen Park in Tempe, Arizona. The picnic area has grills so bring some meats for cooking. This park is named for Neils Petersen, a Danish immigrant who moved to Arizona in the 1870's. Nearly two decades later he was a U.S. Citizen and one of the richest men in the region.
