Welcome to California's oldest State Park, the grand and magnificent Big Basin Redwoods State Park located in the Santa Cruz Mountains on the Pacific Coast. This park was first established in 1902 and helps to protect the largest continuous stand of ancient coast redwoods south of San Francisco. Elevations range from sea level on the coast to over 2,000 feet in the mountains. The park has over 80 miles of trails just waiting to be explored where one can see some towering redwoods, beautiful cascading waterfalls, and more.

Camping: Big Basin Redwoods State Park has a total of four campgrounds with a total of 142 campsites. Only one of the campsites has electrical hookups but the campground does have a dump station. Come out and stay a few nights.

To contact the park office please call 831-338-8860.

This park grew by 200 acres in April 2024.
