Welcome to California's beautiful Point Cabrillo Light Station State Historic Park located on the Pacific Coast near Mendocino. This park's historic lighthouse was first built in 1909 and managed by a man named Wilhelm Baumgartner. The beacon's lens was one of only 12 in the United States to have been built in the United Kingdom. The open area is a great place for kite-flying on windy days.
