Welcome to Mexico's Desierto de Los Leones National Park/Parque Nacional Desierto de Los Leones, an urban wilderness located entirely within the Federal District of Mexico City. Leones is the Spanish word for Lions and we all know that there are no Lions in Mexico, the name Leones comes from the land's original owner. The park's elevation ranges from 2,600 meters (8,530 feet) to 3,700 meters (12,139 feet) above sea level and there are many brooks, ravines, and waterfalls. Come out and explore.
