Welcome to Andersonville National Historic Site located in Andersonville, Georgia. This park was the site of a Confederate POW camp during the Civil War that housed over 45,000 Union Soldiers and about 13,000 of them died here. The conditions were so horrid that many of them thought that they had died and gone to hell. As the founder of RecPlanet I can tell you that my experience here in April of 1996 was an interesting one.

To contact the park office please call 229-924-0343.
