Welcome to the beautiful Bond Swamp National Wildlife Refuge located on the banks of the Ocmulgee River near Macon, Georgia. This is one of the newer National Wildlife Refuge's in the United States having first been established in October of 2000. It is a forest and wetland preserve that protects habitat for corn snakes, eastern box turtles, alligator snapping turtles, American alligators, eastern red bats, white-tailed deer, raccoons, black bears, coyotes, and wild boars just to name a few. Come out and explore.
