Welcome to Christiana Playlot Park located in Chicago's North Lawndale section. This was one of many urban playgrounds established in order to meet the growing recreational needs of the post World War II generation. The park is named for Christiana, which was once the name of Oslo, Norway's Capitol City and apparently at the end of the 19th century Chicago was home to more Norwegians than any city except Oslo.
