Welcome to Florida C. Dwight Memorial Playground located in Jacksonville, Florida not far from downtown. It first became a public park in 1905 and for many years it was a playground for African-Americans only. That all changed after the Civil Rights movement. In 1995 it was designated as a local historic landmark. All of the athletic facilities are lighted so people can play at night.
