Welcome to Valley of the Moon Park in Anchorage, Alaska. The city purchased the land that is now Valley of the Moon Park in 1955 and 1960 and named it after Sonoma Valley, California. The playground at this park is unique for it's rocket play equipment. The restrooms are seasonal and only operate from May through August. The park also has access to the Chester Creek Recreation Trail.
