Welcome to Wilson Park in Anchorage, Alaska. The City of Anchorage first purchased this land in 1972 and the following year it's playground and picnic facilities were built. In 1991, just two years after the Valdez disaster, Exxon generously donated money for a new playground. As recently as 2009 local community volunteers helped to give this park a makeover with playground improvements and parking lot repairs.

To contact the department office call 907-274-1003.

This was RecPlanet place of the day on May 11, 2017.
