Welcome to Alaska's Boswell Bay State Marine Park located on Hinchbrook Island. This landscape was dramatically changed by the "Good Friday" earthquake of 1964 which moved the original shoreline inland by half a mile. The quake was the most powerful one in United States history measuring a 9.2 on the Richter scale.
