Welcome to the Delaware sized Kanuti National Wildlife Refuge located in the Arctic Circle region of Alaska. This refuge was established in 1980.

Flora and Fauna: The boreal forests and tundra of Kanuti National Wildlife Refuge helps protect the home of numerous plant and animals species. Some of the plants that grow inside the refuge boundaries include spruces, birches and poplars. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include brown bears, black bears, beavers, wolves, wolverines, muskrats, minks, caribou, moose and over 130 species of birds. Please treat their home with respect.
