Welcome to Alaska's beautiful Woody Island State Recreation Site. Long before the first Europeans arrived in the region this was the homeland of the Alutiiq Native American tribe. Some of the first European settlers were 19th century Russian immigrants who came to establish farms in the region. Come out and do some fishing.
