Welcome to Alaska's unique and beautiful Nancy Lake State Recreation Area located about an hour north of Anchorage. This park is unique to Alaskan State Parks in that it's terrain is relatively flat and not so mountainous. It's landscape of lakes was carved out by glacial retreat over 9,000 years ago. Come out and explore many miles of multipurpose trails.

Wildlife: Nancy Lake State Recreation area helps protect the home of grizzly bears, black bears, moose, beavers, bald eagles, and many others. Please treat their home with respect when visiting.
