Wind Creek State Park

Welcome to Alabama's beautiful Wind Creek State Park located on the shores of Lake Martin near Alexander City. Come out and explore a section of Alabama's Piedmont Plateau Birding Trail or spend a day on the lake.

Camping and Lodging: This park is unique in that it is home to one of the largest state owned campgrounds in the United States. The campground is over 320 acres in size and boasts 586 campsites. Of those 586 campsites, 102 of them are located by the lake and have 30 amp electrical hook-ups, 18 have 30 amp and sewer hook-ups by the lake, 211 30 amp sites with sewer hook-ups, and 216 30 amp base campsites. For those who would rather sleep indoors the park has 7 cabins one of which is ADA accessible and all of which have kitchens and AC. 

Fishing: Lake Martin is an "Angler's Paradise" and the park hosts a few fishing tournaments annually. The lake is filled with striped bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and many otheres. Come out and cast a line.
