Welcome to Alabama's beautiful Desoto State Park, located not far from Fort Payne. This park is home to the cascading Desoto falls and boasts numerous amenities built by the Civilian Conservation Corps including miles of multipurpose trails, cabins, an olympic sized swimming pool, and much more. Come on out and have fun. Desoto State Park was RecPlanet Park of the day on February 10, 2014 and again on July 21, 2014 in honor of the founder's paternal grandfather's 100th birthday by making a park of the day in his home state.
