Welcome to Buck's Pocket State Park located near Grove Oak Alabama in the lower Appalachian mountains. There is an old legend that says that when an Alabama public official has been defeated, he/she goes to Buck's Pocket State Park to lick his/her wounds.

Wildlife: Buck's Pocket State Park helps protect the home of numerous wild critters including herons, bald eagles, deer, squirrels, and many others. Please treat their home with respect.

For the lover of the outdoors Buck's Pocket State Park offers magnificent canyon views, over 20 miles of trails, 36 campsites with electricity and water (even 5 with wi-fi), and so much more. Come on out and have fun.
