Welcome to McIlroy Madison County Wildlife Management Area, a forested preserve located in the Arkansas Ozark country. The State of Arkansas first purchased this land in 1957 and over half a century later in 2008 renamed it after the McIlroy Family that once owned over 15,000 acres of land in Madison County. Today this preserve protects wildlife habitat for white-tailed deer, raccoons, squirrels, foxes, red-tailed hawks, wild turkeys, and many others. For the recreational enthusiast there are numerous hunting opportunities, trails to be explored, and nearly two dozen primitive campsites. Come out and explore!
